  • As a former bass player and a long-time fan of drum & bass, I can really appreciate this album on many levels. Submerged's beats are hard and relentless while Laswell's mad skills on the bass guitar add a professional and accessible touch to each track. This would be a great album to play in the car as you are being chased by the cops. Bill Laswell is one of my musical idols because of his diversity and creativity, and his talents have certainly not gone to waste here. Although there really isn't a bad track on the album, the first two songs really stand out to me. "Mass Graves" is a hell of an opening track. I highly recommend this album to any drum and bass listeners and to all Bill Laswell fans. This fusion of traditional instrumentation with modern electronics is nothing short of astounding.
