Wolf Eyes - Guillotine Keys download free

One I add to my "Dank Wolf Boys" playlist. Recently 2005-2006 has shaped up to be one of my favorite Wolf Eyes vintages. This piece is a lower-fi expanded improv version of "Psychogeist" from The Driller 12", starting out with an abstract, percussive clatter swamp ala River Slaughter, then near the second half the 1984 alien control dread synth from the aforementioned Psychogeist comes along, with the expected interplay with Johnny Olson's dystopian brass. And who couldn't love Tyfus' always excellent Ultra Eczema cover art, it fits the wolves' aesthetic from this era perfectly, up there with Olson's best American Tapes collages and Ghosts of Tundra's black metal logo forest mutations. A great cut.
