"In 2000 Volcom Records was set to release our debut album for the first time, using the cover we had been using on our TMI/Distant copies, with a new live photo from the '99 Warped Tour on the back. Volcom's president had a good friend who killed himself just prior to this release and ordered that all cds be recalled and destroyed. about 1,000 copies were literally shredded. Maybe in the end, 100 copies survived the ordeal. we were forced to change our name and the back cover became the front....i understood the situation and felt bad for anyone that loses someone like that...but this was drastic, unnecessary and overreacting. This is an exact copy of that pressing, taken from the ONE copy i have left. the packaging is 100% exact. musically, i figured everyone interested already has "Volume One" on cd, so each track has been replaced by a rare/unheard/unreleased version of each song on the album...the rest of the cd is maxed out with numerous demos, remixes, alternate versions, etc. of a lot of material recorded before and during the making of Volume One 1996-1999. There are only 65 numbered copies, autographed"
